This summer, young artists at Camp MoCA Westport embarked on an unforgettable adventure of self-discovery, family connection, and community engagement. MoCA Westport’s weekly summer art camp for kids features arts experiences aligned with the Museum's exhibitions as well as outdoor activities, gardening, music and more. Simultaneously, camper artwork will be on view, created by participants in the Camp MoCA Westport 2023 summer season. The artwork reflects the participants’ inspiration, joy, and deeper connection to the world that they experienced through the healing power of art. The exhibition showcases artwork created by those who participated in healing arts classes led by MoCA Westport’s art instructors. To make a full and colorful kaleidoscope takes all of us, contributing what each of us can. Now here’s the exciting news a handful of remarkably generous alumni, current families and individuals, excited about what we are trying to accomplish, have already helped us raise $1.4 million! That’s right, we have a tremendous start, being over 70% percent of the way there and need your help to reach our goal. To transform the Annex into The Kaleidoscope Center and to help build our scholarship endowment, we have set our fundraising goal at $2 million. Our journey together, like a kaleidoscope of butterflies, is “A Beautiful Vision.” The New School Montessori is beginning a capital campaign that will reach toward tomorrow in a way that celebrates and encourages an even more diverse and ever-changing community.
